MEET THE FOUNDER

AUTUMN HICKS

We’re a small, one mama run, handmade clothing shop located in southern Missouri. I strive to create quality handmade clothing for you and your babe while being a full time stay at home wife and mother. I hope to encourage self confidence in our young girls, through our fun, trendy, and unique styles.

Our Story

Thread Positivity is a small handmade clothing brand located in a tiny town in southern Missouri. But we’re more than just a brand—ThP has grown into a community of friends. & it all started with some $3 thrifted curtains.

I grew up playing in my grandma’s sewing room, but had never really spent much time in front of a sewing machine until my mom and I found a set of pink ombré curtains while thrifting one day. They were too long for the windows in Everleigh’s room & would need to be cut and hemmed to fit but they were perfect.

My true passion for sewing followed soon after when I started upcycling thrifted items into clothes for my daughter Everleigh. Suddenly Thread Positivity was born.

Fast forward—and I’ve gone from making a few outfits for Evie—to shipping packages to states this small town girl has never even been to. It’s still so surreal to me. While I’ve branched out and love turning a yard of fabric into the cutest little fit, our unique upcycles are still my favorite to create. There’s just something about taking an old tee and turning it into something new to be loved again.

From designing & sewing items to packaging, quality control, & post office runs with Evie—We continue to be a one mama run shop & I hope you feel the happiness and love we put into every item.

THREAD POSITIVITY

LOVE FOR THRIFTING

Born out of a love of thrifting. Our one of a kind upcycles focus on cutting down on textile waste & bringing new life to thrifted or otherwise discarded items, such as tees, dresses, flannels, & more!

SUSTAINABLE

OUR STYLES

When you shop our handmade clothing, not only do you get something unique and individual to you, but you receive pieces that are likely to fit better(& even for longer) than something off the peg. You are also getting something that is kinder to the environment and manufactured and produced in an ethical way.
